Send a logo and roughly what you want. One set is two boards.
Built and cured here
Boards are built, finished and cured. The curing is the part we will not rush.

Regulation, or just for the yard?
This is the first question we ask, because it changes what gets built. Most boards we make are for a business, a family or an event and can be any size. But if there is any chance of league or tournament play, a board outside the ACL rules is not eligible.
| Element | ACL requirement |
|---|---|
| Board size | 2 ft wide × 4 ft long, ±¼″ |
| Hole | 6″ ±⅛″, centred across the width |
| Hole position | Centre 9″ ±⅛″ from the back edge |
| Top thickness | ½″ with cross-section support, or ¾″ without |
| Weight | At least 15 lb |
| Front edge | Raised 2.5″ to 3.5″ off the ground |
| Back height | Top of board 12″ above the ground, ±¼″ |
| Material | Wood with a smooth finished coat. Birch and oak are the common choices |
Nine inches from the back is the one people get wrong, because a board looks symmetrical and the hole does not sit in the middle. A set built to the wrong measurement plays fine in a garden and is turned away at a tournament. Tell us before we build, not after.
And do not wax them. The ACL rules say no foreign substances may be applied after purchase, and they name baby powder, cleaning spray and silicone. A dry cloth is the whole of what is allowed, so the slickness has to come from the finish we put on. Tell us how fast you want them playing and we build that into the coat.
How it works
- Tell us regulation or your own size, how many sets, and what goes on them.
- We quote within one business day.
- You approve the artwork.
- We build, print, finish and cure, then you collect.
What we need in order to quote
- Regulation size or your own size. Ask the question above first
- One set or several. A set is two boards
- The artwork. A logo, a team mark, a photo, or a rough idea we work up. Vector files are best — see the artwork guide
- Indoors, outdoors, or both. It changes the finish
- Whether you need bags. They have their own rules, including an approved manufacturer list for sanctioned play
- When you need them. A date, not “soon”
We do not publish a price list for boards. Size, artwork, finish and quantity move the number too much for a figure on a page to mean anything, so we would rather quote your job than quote an average.

Boards we have built
Every set below came out of our shop. Businesses putting their logo in front of customers, sports teams, a wedding, and plenty of people who just wanted something nobody else has.
